First prize: Bonita Phounsavath, Year 9, Clarkson Community High School about Mr Jaroslav Ivan.
Kids all around the world must think most teachers are evil creatures who plan to torture you by teaching us things that are too hard or too complicated. Well, Mr Ivan is different…He is the exact opposite of what I just said with a positive and humorous personality and a kind man. He has a big, shiny smile and laughs like a goat. I might be exaggerating a bit but oh well.
He is the funniest, kindest teacher yet.
Second prize: Rhys Mola, Year 8, Sacred Heart College.
Mr Callus is the most considerate person I have ever met and he puts everyone before himself and he works so hard I think he really deserves a reward. People look up to him and look at him as a role model. He deserves a lot of gratitude than he is currently getting as he works so hard not just himself but for others.
Third prize: Lisa Castle, Year 9, Clarkson Community High School about Mrs Nilanie Wallace.
She may be tiny, she may be small
And if you stood against her you’d probably feel tall.
But small is powerful, as the saying goes
and when you want to ask a question she usually knows.
She always tries her best, to make each lesson fun
And I wish she could teach us until the school day is done.
