The Western Australian College of Teaching Act 2004 and the Western Australian College of Teaching Regulations 2004 establish the College as an independent professional body to recognise, promote and regulate the teaching profession in Western Australia.

The College has release a copy of the Board's submission to the section 90 review of the Western Australian College of Teaching Act 2004 and the effectiveness of the operations of the College for the information of College members.
