The Teacher Registration Board (TRB) is to take over responsibility for the registration of all teachers in Western Australia on 7 December 2012 under the Teacher Registration Act 2012 (the Act).

Teacher registration held with the Western Australian College of Teaching (the College) will automatically transition to the TRB.

Applications to the College not finalised by close of business 6 December 2012 will be automatically transferred to the TRB for assessment against requirements for registration. The exception is with open applications for Limited Authority to Teach, which will end and a new application will need to be made with the TRB.
