In order to apply for a position in a Western Australian public school, the first step is to ensure that you are registered with the College. You must then apply to DET for an identification number which remains valid throughout your teaching career. This ID allows you to submit an electronic placement request which will remain 'active' for the current school year. See tesweb.det.wa.edu.au

Make sure that all your details are kept up to date - mobile phone number and email address are particularly important - and allow plenty of time to register your request before the cut-off date for DET's transfer and appointment rounds.
